The Three Faces of Piaget Limelight Magic Hour Watch

Posted by Rosanne Lorraine Lim on 27th November 2008

Piaget Limelight Magic Hour Watch is a beautifully designed dress watch for the ladies. Fans of this design have three charming bezels to choose from. The simple twist in design produces a dramatic result that leaves women wanting to have all three. Impeccably manufactured like all other Piaget timepieces, the Piaget Limelight Magic Hour Watch looks equally lovely to its counterparts.

If looking at this timepiece is any indication, you would instantly assume that Piaget outdid itself and indeed, it did. The diagonal orientation is particularly appealing because there are so few of them in the market. Other diagonally inclined watches don’t look as attractive as well so the Piaget Limelight Magic Hour Watch definitely stands out. That is not to say though that the two other inclinations are not beautiful because they are.

For ladies whose first love is diamonds, the vertical oval is the perfect timepiece for them. It showcases the diamonds integrated on the watch perfectly. It also has the distinct advantage of being able to highlight the Breguet numerals in the timepiece. The Piaget Limelight Magic Hour Watch has already gotten a lot of well-deserved acclaim. These awards are testaments to the design innovation that the design house of Piaget is known for.

The design house of Corum did it again. Just when people thought that it has unleashed its best in the past with some of its opulent collection, it revived its Romulus watch collection. Corum has a lot of collections to choose from but its Romulus line definitely stands out. In fact, it is among the favorite of watch connoisseurs.

It is obvious where the inspiration from these watches comes from. The intricately engraved Roman designs on its bezel and the classic impressions those models project certainly brings the user back in time to Rome’s majesty and splendor. The long-awaited Romulus Perpetual Calendar does not disappoint with its features as well.

Exclusively available in rose gold, this timepiece gives out a bold sense of wealth and luxury. This feeling is only enhanced by its beautiful black dial, thick alligator strap, and traditional subdials that show the date, day, and months of the year including the leap year.

If there is one downside to the Corum Romulus Perpetual Calendar timepiece, it is its quantity. Only 25 example watches will be produced. But then, who knows how many will be manufactured if it receives a warm welcome in the market.

Romain Jerome Moon Dust-DNA Collection

Posted by Rosanne Lorraine Lim on 25th November 2008

Are you ready to wear a watch with genuine moon dust integrated into it? The Romain Jerome Moon Dust-DNA Collection is a highly special timepiece because the design house added pieces of the Apollo XI, the Soynuz space shuttle, and of course, moon dust into the watch. So the Romain Jerome Moon Dust-DNA Collection is literally an out of this world creation.

With so many luxury watches that uses carbon, titanium, diamonds, and tourbillions today; it is not surprising that the house of Romain Jerome allowed their imagination to roam free to reach up into space. This timepiece follows the success of its predecessor, the Titanic-DNA which paid a tribute to the fallen ocean liner.

But if the Titanic-DNA collection was a tribute to the legendary liner, the Moon-Dust is a celebration of what mankind has been able to achieve. Conquering space has been a huge leap forward. And the design and technology integrated into this device shows just that.

For example, the dial of the timepiece features small craters. Its case is made from titanium and steel but with a special twist. This is because the steel was taken from the Apollo XI itself. At 46-mm in diameter, this ingenious piece will surely stand the test of time.

Daniel Roth Papillon Chronograph

Posted by Rosanne Lorraine Lim on 14th November 2008

The design house of Daniel Roth has finally released its first chronograph timepiece this 2008. Undeniably one of the classiest watches of its time, the Daniel Roth Papillon Chronograph catches an onlooker’s attention at first glance. For many watch-lovers, it is love at first sight. This watch combines aesthetic appeal, functionality, elegance, wealth, and masculinity all in one.

Two lozenge-shaped head minute hands are the signature features of Daniel Roth Papillon series and it is clearly evident in this chronograph watch. The timepiece is designed with extra modules including two chronograph counters, the patented two-minute hand feature, and the central chronograph line. This feature enables the hands to turn in similar direction on one axis. Once it gets to the 60 degree position, one of the hands will go on 90 degrees to retract. And the other hand will appear at 0 minute.

This watch is near to perfection as a chronograph watch can get. It has been designed to ensure optimal fit on the wrist. Unlike other timepiece that concentrates too much on technology, the house of Daniel Roth also considers the user’s comfort. And he designs every device accordingly. Crafted from white, yellow, and red gold, the watch exudes sophistication in every dimension.
