Gerald Genta “Perpetual Calendar GMT”
Posted by Joe Vangieri on 15th May 2008
This colorful timepiece from the Arena collection is bold and busy. A dual time-zone display and perpetual calendar share the stage. The second time zone and calendar are distinguished by their even and odd number circles and the days and months are shown on the polished rotating discs on either side of them.
The multi-layered dial has a perforated base providing glimpses of the old-gold “Potter”-finished movement. Dagger-shaped hands and applied polished numerals at 2, 4, 8 and 10 o’clock indicate the local time.
The 45mm case is titanium topped with a platinum bezel. On the reverse side, the self-winding movement is visible through a sapphire case back.
The signature red and black colors of the brand are highlighted on the alligator leather straps. This brilliant piece retails for $61, 500.
