JEANRICHARD, manufacture of contemporary Swiss timepieces, was a key sponsor of the third annual Legend of the Motorcycle Concours d’Elegance at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Half Moon Bay, CA on May 3rd.

The highlight of the weekend came when Tradema of America President and CEO Ron Jackson and former MV Agusta World Champion Phil Reed awarded famed Italian motorcycle racing legend Giacomo Agostini with a limited edition Paramount “MV75 World Champion” and the Lifetime Achievement Award “God of Speed” trophy to Mr. Agostini for making an invaluable contribution to the world of motorcycling.

“Giacomo Agostini’s tenure with the MV Agusta race team resulted in nearly a decade of successive victories, designating Agostini one of the greatest racers and MV Agusta as one of the greatest machines of all time,” said Mr. Jackson.  “It is our privilege to honor Mr. Agostini with a JEANRICHARD “MV 75 World Champion” timepiece.  Now he can be reminded of his success each time he looks at his wrist.”

MV Agusta motorcycles are legendary in the motorcycling world.  They have in particular dominated international racing for many years, winning 75 world championship titles.  Above and beyond this impressive track record, MV Agusta is chiefly renowned for the refinement and aesthetic appeal of its prestigious motorcycles.

The partnership between JEANRICHARD and MV Agusta is based on a shared passion for precision mechanical engineering.  Tight control over the entire production chain enables these two independent brands to distinguish themselves from the competition in terms of technological and aesthetic creativity.  Know-how, quality and exclusivity are the key notes of the partnership.

Legend of the Motorcycle Concours d’Elegance is the first world-class concours d’elegance exclusively for motorcycles.  The invitational showcases and judges approximately 150-200 of the finest pre-1978 motorcycles from around the world, includes annually designated marquee, and hosts special displays of contemporary custom racing and concept bikes.   Attended by more than 4,000, this annual, luxury charity event heralds a new forum for motorcycling by celebrating and honoring its past and its future.
