Louis Erard: La Carree Chronograph

Posted by Joe Vangieri on 15th May 2008

Alain Spinedi, the man who runs Louis Erard, has always felt that there is an educated group of watch consumers that are looking for well made time pieces at a reasonable price.

Meeting that demand is the direction in which Spinedi has chosen to take Louis Erard.  The La Carree Chronograph is a well made piece, with a case measuring at 39X39mm with a thickness of 15mm using 25 jeweled ETA 7750 movement with a rate of 28,800 vph.

The La Carree has proven as dependable as the movement it uses with a very low rate of returns for service. The black dialed version set up nicely as a dual sub dial chronograph with a sub second hand running at the nine o’clock position. The rose gold hands and markers are a beautiful contrast to the matte black dial. The La Carree has a list price of $1,600. When you purchase it you will like it; once you wear it you will love it and you can treat yourself to something nice with the money you saved.
