Oceanus: The World’s First Metal Atomic-Solar Chronograph Watch for Women
Posted by Joe Vangieri on 29th May 2008
The world’s first metal atomic-solar chronograph watch for women has set sail. Oceanus has added ladies to the collection.
Oceanus, a classic collection of luxury timepieces that combine fashion with functionality, is set to target women who enjoy the finer things in life.
The Ladies Oceanus collection features the same high-end features of its counterpart, with the simplicity and refined elegance of feminine style.
Geared for women with a keen sense of fashion, refined style, and confident attitude, the Oceanus line incorporates best-of-class technology including WaveCeptor atomic timekeeping for pinpoint accuracy that automatically sets and synchronizes during Daylight Saving Time.
These timepieces are coupled with Tough Solar power for dependability, while married to the timeless style of a classic chronograph. All ladies styles are 50 meter water resistant, and feature sapphire crystal, providing a durable, scratch resistant surface.

Inspired by the pearlescent seashells that wash up on tropical shores, the collection features a soft color palate of pale pink, glossy black and pearly white. Ladies Oceanus is available in stainless steel or leather bracelet styles with pink, blue, or silver accents for added interest and flair. Ideal for the sophisticated woman seeking luxury and functionality, these timepieces satisfy both desires with class.
“We’re excited to expand the Oceanus line to offer women high-quality, high-fashion timepieces” said David Johnson, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Oceanus. “It was time we addressed the growing needs of professional, fashionable women, who are highly aware of today’s technological advances in the finer watch world. These women are not afraid to express themselves, and we’re confident that ladies Oceanus will capture that essence.”
Ladies Oceanus is available at Tourneau Watch Gear, select department stores and select jewelry stores. This first collection of models have a suggested retail that ranges from $380- $400.
Oceanus also includes a luxurious men’s collection, currently consisting of thirteen models designed for those with adventurous lifestyles and a refined sense of style. Men’s Oceanus is available in steel, titanium and leather, and carries a suggested retail value range of $400- $600, and is also available at Tourneau Watch Gear, select department stores and select jewelry stores. Six newly added models in the “600” series feature five motor technology, which allows for chronograph movement to be combined with a traditional analog date display, therefore replacing the digital window that previous models still feature.
