It is only fitting that Cartier still produces up to this day, the best looking luxury watches in the world while making sure of its accuracy and precision. One of them is the Men’s Pasha Automatic Black Alligator that comes under the Pasha Watch category of Cartier.

One of them is the Tag Heuer Men’s Aquaracer Calibre S Regatta. This is Tag Heuer’s keen example of watch making expertise. There are two main features that make the Aquaracer Calibre S Regatta quite different from the rest of its class.  It has an intuitive chronograph legibility that is so précised to the tenth of a second and a certain distinctive measurement of simple and intermediary time with two elapsed times.

Corum Admiral’s Cup Men’s 18k Rose Gold Auto Watch

Posted by Jess Dayuno on March 3rd, 2009

The Corum Watch designs are not only unique and pleasing to the eyes but everything on it has a functional purpose like the Corum Admiral’s Cup Men’s 18k Rose Gold Auto Watch.

Overstock.com, Inc. 234 X 60

In 2007, we all saw the Classical Billionaire Tourbillion Watch which Corum released in limited edition and quite only a few dared to purchase it since the price is quite astronomical. It was quite a magnificent illusion for most watch enthusiasts whose budget does not come near the billionaire’s watch.

However, the Admiral’s Cup Men’s watch is quite within the budget and not overpriced as some of the luxury watches around. It has an 18 karat case in rose gold and a blue dial. What makes it unique is that you will find different flags on the bezel and three chrono subdials inside. The hour markers are luminous which glows in the dark and date is displayed on the three o’clock angle. It is water resistant up to 100 meters.

Overstock.com, Inc.

Although the Admiral Cup Tides watches were first introduced back in 1992, Corum keeps on enhancing the movement and functions of the watch. Aside from the distinctive flags around the dial, the subdials provide significant data on the time of the tides, its strengths and weaknesses on the lunar cycle. This feature makes the Corum Admiral Cup watch amazingly different from other luxury watches. It also has an elegant design which makes it quite appropriate for formal occasions even if it’s first and foremost a sport watch.

James Bond’s Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean in Quantum of Solace

Posted by Jess Dayuno on February 27th, 2009

Each time there is a new James Bond movie, a new limited watch would be launched. People were excited to view the 007 watch collection which Omega presented in time for the showing of the blockbuster Quantum of Solace, the latest 007 franchise.

World of Watches

Two types of Omega Seamaster were released to the public. One was the 007 Limited Edition Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600m which was targeted mainly for the 007 watch collectors. This is the one with the 007 logo on the dial and the sapphire crystal lens used here was engraved inside with the Quantum of Solace markings. Only 5,007 units were created and by now they are already sold out.

World of Watches

The other one is the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean, Model No. 2201.50.00. This is the exact watch Daniel Craig used in the movie itself with a black dial, black bezel and luminous hands/hour markers. It is a stainless steel 2500 self-winding chronometer water resistant from 600m to 2000m with co-axial escapement movement almost quite similar to the Omega Seamaster watch he wore in Casino Royale, only this one is around 3 mm slimmer in diameter. This version of the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean is more appropriate to wear with a tux attending formal events and it would not be a James Bond movie without a scene of him strolling around in a hotel wearing a tuxedo while chasing the bad guys.

The Pink and Sporty Technomarine Watches

Posted by Jess Dayuno on February 26th, 2009

Vibrant colors are great with chrono watches and these technomarine pink diamond watches are perfect examples why Technomarine was able to penetrate the competitive world of watch making.

Technomarine Watches are relatively new to the world of making luxury watches as compared to its older competitors. While, they are not that expensive as, say a Rolex or a Patek, they can still very well look dressy but without removing the sporty feel to it.

Prices vary for every single Technomarine watch because of the materials used. It is a little expensive if there are precious metals or diamond bezels used to accentuate the dial or the kind of strap used. The Pink Lady Technomarine watches are quite one of the best sellers of the collection since women in general love the color pink, it gives it a cool, hip look without getting tacky.

The good thing about these technomarine watches is that most of them have a screw-down crown knob which makes it more water resistant than the push and pull manipulator. They can also custom-sized the bands to fit those with 6.5 inch to a 7.5 inch.

Overstock.com, Inc.

Technomarine Watches were created to be noticed and so they are known for their vibrant designs. It all started back in the late 1997 where they launched the very first TechnoMarine Raft, a stainless steel chonograph with a plastic band in St Tropez. The design and quality fascinated a lot of watch enthusiasts and on the first year of production they were able to sell around 50,000 pieces.

The Invisible Yet Visible One Million $ Black Caviar Hublot Watch

Posted by Jess Dayuno on February 24th, 2009

Each year Hublot makes a luxury watch worth one million dollars. This time around, the premier watchmakers outdid themselves as they produced a unique kind of watch that gives you an invisibility effect while remaining visible. They called it One Million $ Black Caviar.

How is that possible? Well, they used a lot of black diamonds amounting to 544 to make the case and the dial. It is so unique you think the watch is floating on air while strapped in the wrist. It is truly a work of art with the help of state-of-the-art technology.

It is made of white gold but they were able to hide any traces of gold. They also used sapphire crystals and anti-glass reflector to achieve that invisibility visible concept.

A Hub Solo T is responsible for the movement with manual winding and a power reserve of more or less 120 hours. It has a diameter of 30 mm and a 7.10 mm of thickness. It comes with a black rubber strap with a Hublot logo and 18k white gold clasp.

It took Hublot watchmakers around 2,000 hours of diligent work to make one and from the photo alone, it is definitely worth it. If you want a larger view of the photo, just click here.
